I was in Sumatra, watching a rash I seemed to have contracted in the jungle slowly spread across my body. It took a month and a half for that bastard to heal, and I still don’t know what it was. But that’s not exactly the the kind of thing No Conversation #1 is about.
It’s a true story (as true as I can make it). It all takes place in Sumatra, the sixth largest island in the world. Sumatra is located on the far west side of the 18,000-island archipelago that makes up Indonesia, sandwiched between Mainland Asia and Australia. I’ve changed things like names and details for the sake of anonymity of my friends, but the rest has remained intact as I remember it.
